Cameroun President, Paul Biya on state visit to Nigeria

muhammadu-buhari-paul-biya-690x450President Paul Biya of Cameroon is on a two-day state visit to Nigeria on Tuesday. Both leaders and their officials, according to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, will confer on issues of common interest to Nigeria and Cameroon, including ongoing bilateral and regional cooperation against terrorism, violent extremism and cross-border crimes.

It is expected that new agreements to strengthen existing ties, as well as trade and economic relations between Nigeria and Cameroon, will be concluded and signed before the end of President Biya’s visit.

A joint communiqué on the visit and the talks between the two presidents and their officials will be issued before President Biya’s departure from Abuja on Wednesday.
