The candidate of the All Progressive Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari has emerge the winner of Nigeria 2015 presidential elections. General Muhammadu Buhari got 15,424,921 votes to win President Goodluck Jonathan who had 12,853,162 votes.
The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega declared General Muhammadu Buhari as the President Elect of the Federal Republic Nigeria having satisfied the requirement of the law and scoring the highest number of votes.
