Nigeria host Ghana in newly built Akwa Ibom International stadium


African champions Nigeria has invited Ghana national football team to play an international friendly today, November 7 to officially inaugurate the ultra-modern Akwa Ibom International Stadium.

Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan and Ghanaian President, John Mahama are scheduled to be in attendance and top football icons, including Brazil’s Pele, have also been invited to grace the opening of the stadium.

The newly built 30,000 capacity will host the Super Eagles 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 12 days later, on November 19.
