National Directorate of Employment, Lagos State chapter, has commenced the training of 50 unemployed persons in agricultural skills, under the Rural Agricultural Development Training Scheme.
The NDE State Co-ordinator, Mr. Joseph Mordi, in a statement by the Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations, Roli Olowu said the training, which began on Monday, would enlighten the participants both theoretically and practically. He said they would be exposed to modern practical skills by the “NDE master trainers.”
He said, “The scheme is designed to train participants interested in skill acquisition in the area of agricultural production. “The 50 participants would commence the programme with orientation and counseling, after which they would undergo a month of theoretical training and two months of practical training.
“The Rural Employment Programme Department is one of the four core departments in the NDE charged with the responsibility of employment generation”.
