Nokia trains Nigerian developers to build smarphones applications

Nokia trains Nigerian developers to build applications for the upcoming
Smartphone, Asha 501.

The mobile phone manufacturing giant, Nokia, hosted developers for a two day training programme to put developers through the technical requirements to develop mobile applications for the yet to be released device, which according to Jarmo Rintamaki, Head, Training Services, Nokia Developer Experience, would be available in the Nigerian market in July, 2013.

During the two-day training programme, developers were given the opportunity to test their already developed applications on the device. Invited developers whose applications meet the technical requirements of the device will also have their apps pre-installed on the device. Nokia Developer Experience Technology Wizard, Attila Csipa is of the opinion that Nokia will be able to capture the low-end mobile market with the Asha 501 and others in the series, especially in Africa.
